This Privacy Policy outlines how Edubyte Africa Inc. collects, uses, and safeguards information through the Eduvet School Hub application across iOS, Android, and web. This policy complies with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana, the Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Section 5.1), and the Google Play Developer Policy (User Data).
About the Application & Developer
Eduvet School Hub ("Application" or "Service") is developed and maintained by Edubyte Africa Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), an educational technology company registered in Accra, Ghana. The Application is designed exclusively as an institutional curriculum management, lesson planning, and assessment recording tool for teachers, headteachers, and circuit supervisors.
Information We Collect
We only collect information strictly necessary to provide the services requested:
- Account & Educator Profile Data: Name, professional email address, telephone number, official Staff/Teacher ID, registered school name, district/circuit, assigned grade levels, and assigned subject curricula.
- User-Generated Educational Content: Termly schemes of learning, daily/weekly lesson notes, teaching learning materials (TLMs), continuous assessment records (SBA), and student performance summaries created by teachers.
- Institutional Review & Vetting Metadata: Headteacher verification stamps, inspection feedback notes, and submission timestamps.
- Technical Diagnostics: Device type, operating system version, browser type, crash analytics, and application performance metrics to diagnose technical faults and maintain system security.
- Billing Information: Transaction references, subscription tier identifiers, and license activation tokens. All payments are processed through certified third-party payment gateways (such as Paystack, Apple In-App Purchases, or Google Play Billing). We do not collect or store credit card numbers, debit card security codes, or Mobile Money PINs.
How We Use Information
We process collected data exclusively for legitimate operational and educational purposes:
- To generate, format, and export curriculum-compliant lesson plans adhering to Ghana Education Service (GES) and National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) standards.
- To facilitate internal digital lesson vetting workflows between teachers and headteachers.
- To provide resilient offline local caching (via browser IndexedDB/localStorage) for teachers working in low-connectivity areas.
- To verify subscription status, authenticate authorized school accounts, and issue activation licenses.
- To provide customer support and troubleshoot application issues.
- To maintain security, prevent unauthorized access, and protect system integrity.
Children’s Privacy
Strict Children's Privacy Commitment: Eduvet School Hub is designed solely for adult educators and school administrative personnel. The Application does not target children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of majority), nor do we knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
All student records entered by educators (such as continuous assessment grades) are handled strictly in an institutional capacity as aggregate or pseudonymized academic records. If an educator or parent becomes aware that personal data of a minor has been submitted inappropriately, please contact us immediately at privacy@edubyteafrica.com and we will promptly delete the data.
Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose user data to advertisers or commercial data brokers. Information is shared strictly with essential service infrastructure providers:
- Cloud Hosting & Databases: Google Cloud Platform and Firebase (encrypted storage, authentication, and 99.9% uptime hosting).
- Payment Gateways: Paystack (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified), Apple App Store, and Google Play for processing subscription payments.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, court order, or official governmental request under the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
Data Storage & Security Measures
We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards:
- Encryption in Transit: All communications between the app and servers use TLS 1.3 / HTTPS encryption.
- Encryption at Rest: Cloud databases and authentication tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 standard.
- Access Restrictions: Access to backend systems is restricted to authorized technical personnel via multi-factor authentication.
Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain user information for the period necessary to fulfill the educational purposes described in this policy, or until account deletion is requested.
How to Request Account & Data Deletion: Users have the right to request the permanent deletion of their account and all associated personal data at any time.
To initiate deletion, send an email to privacy@edubyteafrica.com from your registered email address with the subject "Account Deletion Request". Requests are processed within 30 business days, following which all personal profile records and lesson notes are permanently erased from our active databases.
User Rights
In accordance with the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and international data privacy frameworks, users possess the right to:
- Access: Review what personal profile and school information is held about them.
- Rectification: Update or correct inaccurate educator or school details.
- Portability: Export all generated schemes and lesson notes at any time in Word (.doc), Print/PDF, or JSON formats.
- Objection / Erasure: Object to processing or request complete account erasure as detailed above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Edubyte Africa Inc. governing your access to and use of the Eduvet School Hub application on mobile devices and the web.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Eduvet School Hub, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Application.
Eligibility & User Accounts
To use Eduvet School Hub, you must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to act as an educator, school administrator, or institutional representative. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and to maintain the security of your account credentials.
License & Permitted Use
Subject to compliance with these Terms, Edubyte Africa Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for personal educational lesson preparation and school administration. This license is subject to the standard Usage Rules set forth in the Apple App Store Terms of Service and Google Play Terms of Service.
Pedagogical Standards & Educator Discretion
Eduvet School Hub incorporates curriculum frameworks aligned with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) Standards-Based Curriculum. However:
- The Application is provided as a supportive educational aid.
- Educators retain ultimate professional discretion and responsibility to review, adapt, and tailor learning activities, assessments, and teaching materials to suit their specific learners before classroom delivery.
Intellectual Property Rights
- Your Content: You retain ownership of all original lesson notes, schemes, and custom notes created by you in the platform.
- Our Intellectual Property: All software code, user interface designs, logos, database schemas, algorithms, and documentation are the exclusive intellectual property of Edubyte Africa Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subscriptions, Payments & In-App Purchases
Eduvet School Hub offers core complimentary features as well as premium Pro subscription tiers (including Teacher Termly, School Termly, and School Annual plans):
- In-App Purchases (iOS / Android): Payments processed via Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing are subject to Apple’s and Google’s respective payment and subscription terms. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle via your device's account settings.
- Direct Gateway Payments: Payments processed via Paystack or official direct Mobile Money transfers are validated upon receipt of confirmation. Activation codes are non-transferable.
- Refunds: Refund requests for in-app purchases are managed in accordance with the refund policies of Apple and Google. For direct transactions, refund inquiries may be submitted to support@edubyteafrica.com.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble any part of the Application.
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with security or subscription validation mechanisms.
- Redistribute, sublicense, or share single-user activation licenses beyond authorized users.
- Use the Service to transmit malicious code, spam, or unlawful materials.
Service Availability & Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we maintain a 99.9% target uptime and provide resilient offline caching, Edubyte Africa Inc. makes no warranties, express or implied, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for data loss arising from cleared device storage without exported backups.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Edubyte Africa Inc., its directors, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Application.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any legal dispute or claim arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Accra, Ghana.
